Sustainability is a natural translation of ASSA ABLOY's cornerstones: vision, realism, courage and ethics. These cornerstones have been central to the Group's development since its creation in 1994. The environment, business ethics and social responsibility are critical issues to address in a society which we are an integrated part of. Our unconditional aim is to make sustainability a central part of our business philosophy and culture, but even more importantly is the job of integrating sustainability into our business strategy.

Environmental Product Declaration

An EPD is a verified document that reports environmental data of products based on life cycle assessment (LCA) and other relevant information and in accordance with the international standard ISO 14025 (Type III Environmental Declarations). An important aspect of EPDÂ® is to provide the basis of a fair comparison of products and services by its environmental performance. EPDs can reflect the continuous environmental improvement of products and services over time and are able to communicate and add up relevant environmental information along a product's supply chain.
