Note 1: While the 7800 and 8200 mortise lock lines meet the ANSI/BHMA standard A156.13 for both the operational Grade 1 and security Grade 1, this standard is meant for public and commercial needs. The 9200 and M9200 Lines are meant for doors where a much higher degree of security is required.
9200 Institutional Mortise Lockset with a Standard or a High Security Key Cylinder
The 9200 High Security Mortise Lockset is designed for use on those openings subject to expected extreme abuse, vandalism and malicious impact.
M9200 Institutional Mortise Lockset with Mogul Cylinder
The M9200 Institutional Mortise Lockset is designed for use in detention facilities, holding areas and psychiatric facilities.
Testing Criteria
Listed below are only some of the tests and criteria covered in this standard. For simplification, all tests and details of tests are not elaborated on. For exact and complete details of tests, etc. refer to the complete ANSI/BHMA standard.
1. Cycle test
One cycle consists of the knob or lever handle to be turned to completely retract the latch bolt allowing the test door to be opened. The knob or lever handle is then released allowing the test door to relatch. The turning direction of the knob is alternated every 100,000 cycles.
Performance tests are conducted for compliance at various intervals during and at the end of the cycle test.

Note: Key Cylinders
All keyed cylinders used in these locks shall be of the pin tumbler type and shall have five or more pin tumbler cavities. The keyways shall have longitudinal ribs. Modification of these requirements to provide greater security are permitted.
